At Out of the Box Receiving, we believe in clear and straightforward communication to help you manage your project effectively. Please see our most frequently asked questions below. 

Q: What happens when you receive my items at your warehouse?

A: Once your items arrive at our loading dock, we inspect them for damages, defects, or shipping errors within an average of three to five business days. Our team is trained to spot issues early so any issues can be resolved before it’s time for delivery and installation.


Q: When do you receive deliveries at your warehouse?

A: Out of the Box Receiving is open for business Monday through Friday. We receive deliveries Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (no receiving on Mondays).


Q: How do I manage my inventory in your warehouse?

A: Using our personalized Smartsheet system, you can access real-time inventory with photos and detailed condition reports, allowing you to easily track the status of your items.


Q: Why do I have to sidemark my items?

A: Properly sidemarking your items is critical. Without this information, your inspections may be delayed, leaving you less time to file any necessary claims.


Q: What are my storage options?

A: Out of the Box Receiving offers a range of storage options, from 5’ x 5’ up to 10’ x 20’, and we securely store your inventory until your delivery date. To keep our process efficient for all clients, we can’t accommodate warehouse pickups.

Q: Why do I need to coordinate the delivery with Out of the Box Receiving?

A: We coordinate with each designer before the delivery, so we can execute smoothly on your installation schedule. You’ll receive a two-hour delivery window to plan your day, and no matter the weather, we pride ourselves on being on-time.


Q: How can I ensure that my client will be satisfied with the delivery?

A: Our installation team delivers courteous, professional service every step of the way to ensure you, and your client are satisfied with the final setup. When the installation is complete, we remove all waste, leaving the space clean and ready to go.


Q: Do I have to fill out new information for each project?

A: Yes, even if you are an existing client, please fill out our Designer-Client New Project Information Sheet.
